Service Dog Program
Sourcing dogs from local shelters to provide service animals for special needs children, enhancing daily lives and independence.
Adaptive Swimming
Swimming programs tailored for special needs children, focusing on water safety and building confidence in a supportive environment.
Mental Health Support
Resources and programs for caregivers and families, including workshops addressing the unique challenges they face.

Our Story
Fundamentally Awesome was born during the difficult time between diagnosis and therapies—a time when families are left waiting and searching for answers.
Founded by Alicea Townsend, a mother who experienced firsthand the challenges of long waitlists, lost coverage, and insurance exclusions, we exist to bridge the gaps left by overburdened systems and create moments of joy in the midst of challenges.
